Pediatric Practice Assessment
PMI now offers our Pediatric Practice Assessment exclusively as a remote engagement.
After 15 years of delivering both remote and onsite assessments exclusively for pediatric practices, we've refined our process to deliver the same depth of insight, analysis, and strategic guidance — entirely via secure remote consultation*. This means faster scheduling, no travel costs, and expert access for practices anywhere in the country.
PMI’s assessment, including a variety of financial analyses combined with interactive Zoom sessions, empowers you to make informed decisions and drive your practice toward greater success.
- No scheduling delays — No waiting for travel availability. Engagements begin faster.
- Zero travel costs — The flat fee is all-inclusive. No surprise expenses.
- Available anywhere — Whether you're in a major metro or a rural market, you get the same senior-level expertise.
- Less disruption — Staff and operations aren't impacted by an outside consultant walking through your office.
- Proven methodology — Our four-session Zoom framework has been refined to deliver the same findings and recommendations our onsite clients received — often faster.
*For most practices, the remote assessment delivers everything needed to move forward with confidence. For those who want hands-on follow-up, PMI consultants are available for onsite visits to address specific findings — priced on a per-visit basis.
The Assessment Process
Getting started is simple. PMI's three-stage process is designed to be thorough, efficient, and completely remote — delivering enterprise-level practice intelligence without disrupting your day-to-day operations.
Stage 1 — Data Collection
PMI consultants will access your practice's billing system remotely to extract the data needed for a comprehensive analysis. You'll also be asked to provide a brief set of supplementary materials outlined in our Assessment Preparation Guide.
PMI follows strict access protocols to safeguard your practice and patient information at every step.
Stage 2 — Analysis
Once your data is received, our expert consultants get to work. We conduct a deep-dive analysis of your financial performance, cost structure, and provider metrics — building a clear picture of where your practice stands and where opportunities exist.
Stage 3 — Practice Review (Four Zoom Sessions)
The heart of the assessment is four focused Zoom sessions where PMI consultants walk you through findings and deliver actionable recommendations tailored to your practice.
Session 1: Financial Analysis & Data Review
We examine your financial data from the ground up — analyzing costs, overhead, and payment patterns to surface the trends that matter most.
- Payment Analysis — Identify specific CPT codes, by payer, that are being underpaid or denied, so you know exactly where revenue is slipping through the cracks.
- Financial Analysis — Review 24 months of key financial metrics to spot trends quietly eroding your bottom line.
- Practice Cost Analysis — Evaluate two years of operating expenses to identify opportunities for improvement.
Session 2: Provider Compensation & Margin Optimization
Is your compensation structure working for your providers — and your practice? We assess current compensation models, analyze individual provider margins, and deliver targeted recommendations to strengthen incentives and improve overall financial performance.
Session 3: Payer Strategy & Operational Insights
This session turns data into leverage. We dig into your PayerIntel results, develop actionable contracting strategies, and review survey feedback from your physicians and staff.
- PayerIntel Review — Pinpoint opportunities to possibly renegotiate contracts and secure fair payment rates from managed care organizations.
- Fee Schedule Analysis — Ensure your fee schedule is properly structured and consistent with RBRVS methodology.
- Physician Satisfaction Survey Review — Insights from your physicians on compensation, incentives, practice direction, and work environment.
- Employee Satisfaction Survey Review — Frontline feedback from clinical and clerical staff on job satisfaction, benefits, and management effectiveness.
Session 4: Owner & Partner Financial Planning
We close with the big picture — the financial health and long-term future of you and your partners. This session covers owner and partner compensation, succession planning, and a complete practice valuation to help you make informed decisions about where your practice is headed.
- Practice Valuation — A full valuation with market analysis, included at no additional charge (a $2,750 value).
Written Reports After Every Session
Following each Zoom session, you'll receive a detailed written report documenting our findings, their significance, and clear recommendations for improvement — giving you a practical roadmap you can act on immediately.
Flat-Rate Pricing: $3,150
No travel costs. No surprise fees. Everything above — all four sessions, all reports, and your practice valuation — for one transparent, fixed price.
